My Dream of Heaven

Some years back I was going through a very broken situation, though being in Jesus there are always trials that one goes through which also in turn strengthens one in the spirit.

At that time, I had this dream of heaven:

In the dream I was going to heaven. From what I remember of the dream I was walking a path of such strong peace. I couldn't really sense any of the brokenness I was going through at all. I saw a big golden gate ahead and I saw above and beyond the gate. My mum appeared there inside the gate of heaven, and I remember her clearly. She was happy to see me coming and somehow in the spirit she was telling me about my other sister. My mom is always concerned about her.

As I reached the gate, I could vaguely see angels welcoming me. I remember the huge golden gate and there were flowers everywhere like the gate was in a huge, beautiful garden. I could sense the immense peace so strongly. It was so beautiful and so much like the peace and love of the Lord. I can say that it appeared that the angels were somehow very happy. I can vaguely remember that many of them were outside the gate, and I was feeling so happy and I said to myself “Maybe I will go ahead inside”. There are no words to describe the beauty of the scene.

As I reached the gate though it closed, and I was waiting for it to open and the angels were all surrounding me. I was standing in front of the gate which was not yet open, and Jesus suddenly appeared in front of the closed gate of heaven (wearing a white robe, as I could vaguely remember). He said with a smile on His face, “Are you sure?” Then I woke up from the dream.

In the dream, the Lord meant that it wasn't yet my time to go up to heaven and I still had to complete His purpose on this earth. I was indeed quite startled when I woke up... and yet, I wondered where this strong peace was coming from. I was in awe and sensed so much of His beautiful presence. I was just so happy that the Lord came to me and that I could continue doing His purpose here on earth. although the vision of heaven was so nice, and full of peace, joy, and angels ... I woke that day feeling better and His peace and presence just surrounded me. I was so relieved and didn't feel any brokenness at all. I knew that I needed to continue carrying out His purpose here on this earth.

Heaven is beautiful and this dream confirmed many of the heavenly visions that the Lord has given to me.

For those of you out there, the Lord has His purpose for you to complete on earth and He doesn't want you to give up! He will help you through it all, and He is Always there!
