Exodus 33:15, New International Version
“Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.”
Wow.
What a Monday.
When I feel the Lord moving, I have to take time and process what happened. Rehash. Soak in. Choose your phrase.
After lots of unexpected turns, I ended up witnessing my second birth.
Everything went quiet during the summer for my midwifery journey. The Lord has many beautiful things going on in our lives right now, like our homestead, church family and others. When I sit down and relish it all, I am awestruck.
But a few months back, after heavy spiritual warfare, I got a text I didn’t expect to receive.
Someone who understood the cause. Someone who shared the heart cry.
I went to get in my car for a church event when I clicked my seatbelt and got the text that it was time.
This person I care about.
This baby. This life is coming into the world.
“You will have this baby tonight”, I spoke in faith via text as we waited for nature to fulfill God’s plan. Overwhelmed by the weight of His Greatness, I headed out.
I heard an enemy whisper. “It’s been months. Is this what God called you to?”
But the minute I turned to Him I was comforted. I was steadied. I said, “no matter what it is, I cannot actually ‘go’ unless you go with me. You have to be the One to do this.”
I am walking into someone’s forever—this enormous, breathtakingly beautiful space where heaven meets earth and lines are transcended. You walk into different settings, expectations and scenarios never knowing fully what you’ll find, but what I want to bring is love… joy… peace… honor.
Only He who IS those very things can channel that through us.
I already prayed the whole day. Now the whole way there.
He answered.
He. Answered.
All came together perfectly.
After the glory of a new baby, what better way is there to cozy up and recap?
Friends, be strong and be courageous. For the Lord…. God is with you wherever you go.
