John 8:36, New International Verse
"So if the son sets you free you will be free indeed.”
When I was called by Jesus Christ to get baptized
When I was called by Jesus Christ to get baptized, I lived in the country in the middle of nowhere. I felt no hope or joy in me. I was so depressed, and Satan tried to pull me down. I listened to the worst music about death, suffering, and darkness, and it would just pull me down. I would have voices in my head that would scare me to death. Satan wanted me to be his and his only.
Then one night I heard a voice say to me, “Don't be afraid, I am here with you.” Something changed in me. I drew a picture of Jesus Christ with His crown on His head for my mama, because she never gave up on me no matter what was happening in my life. She is always there, and she was there in the hospital for me when I had scoliosis. She was the one that noticed it and took me to the hospital to get it fixed. She prayed for me all the time and I appreciate it because Jesus healed me, and it's a miracle. I am standing here today and praising the Lord with all my heart and singing to Him. Soon after we got a placed in town, a house for me, my brother, and my mom, and we are blessed because He set us free.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36, NIV)
I am blessed and am thankful I have the right people in my life to help me at my worst.
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4, NIV)
I learned this verse from my pastor, and the Word set me free, and my desires came true because of the Lord.
