Eighteen years ago, I graduated from the system to work for the system. The only system that I knew. I learned all the things I needed to learn in order to fit in with this system and do the job that would keep the system running. It wasn’t until I found myself outside of the system, as a patient, that I quickly learned there was actually another way. There was another system that wasn’t quite as familiar, but one that was pulling me and drawing me out of the familiarity of the current system that I was in.

And often times, that is what happens. It’s not until things get rattled and shaken that we realize maybe there’s a different way. And that’s exactly where I found myself thirteen years ago. Diagnosed with lupus and stage four kidney disease I began to question everything in the system. Everything I was taught. Everything I was told was the only way. The right way. I was being told things that made me ask…there really is absolutely nothing that I can do to help myself? There’s no way that I can eat differently that’s going to help me. No supplements, no alternative therapy? Their answer was “no”.

And that’s when the Lord spoke….

The Holy Spirit rose up in me and said, “Come out.” Come out of the box that man wants to put you in. This box that is familiar, comfortable, and all you know. Because I want to take you to a place, a different system, a different structure that is actually closer to my original design for healthcare. One where life is found. One with hope and true healing. And this isn’t just for you…but many who will need this new system. MY system.

But you must know, you must be willing to be misunderstood. You must be willing to keep going the way that you know that you know that you know is the right way when people are telling you it’s wrong. No one will follow in the beginning, but gradually they will begin to see. Because the proof is in the fruit and the testimony of obedience will be revealed in due time. Box breakers, pioneers, system over turners…He will carry you. He will sustain you. Stay connected to the Vine. Blinders on. Love on.
