John 1:5, New International Version

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

I had a dream…

Side note: I have been severely afraid of the dark since I was little… I don’t remember all of it, it faded quickly when I woke up, but I remember this much: I was in a house filled with evil spirits, their faces warped and merged into one body, flickering between forms.

In the dream. At first, I was afraid. I ran…

Then something changed. I became fully aware. I realized they had no power over me. Over Him. I stopped running. I stood still and shouted: “I demand you to leave! In the name of the Almighty Jesus, leave!”

I pointed toward the window, and it shattered, as if something fled through it.

When I woke up, I understood something clearly…

Fear comes from feeling powerless. But when we truly realize the power of Jesus, when we understand that even His name makes darkness flee, fear loses its grip. That is what the enemy doesn’t want us to realize. That is what he fears.

He wants us to be afraid, cowering, believing the lie that evil has authority. But it doesn’t.

When we stand tall, knowing who our God is, they are the ones who retreat.

So today, after waking up, I realized this.

Fear no longer has a voice in me. I know who my God is, and I know the authority

in His name. When I call His name, heaven answers, I do not stand alone, the Lord stands with me. When I call His name, they see who truly defends me, and they are shaken.

Darkness does not intimidate me anymore. Remember, Christ has already claimed the victory.
