Romans, 12:2, New International Version

“…be transformed by the renewing of your mind….”

My whole life I have heard the saying people don’t change.

People do change.

We do change constantly.

Every word spoken to someone impacts them in some way.

Every circumstance we endure changes us in some way.

I share not because of wanting others to change but to say I have changed. I am not who you once knew.

Things I once worried about, cared about - I don’t anymore.

Things I once fought for to make sure they all came together for others - I don’t anymore.

Doing things that put so much stress and pressure on me to please other people - I don’t anymore.

I don’t anymore not because I am being mean or rude. Not because I am selfish, my don’t anymore has nothing to do with you at all. But everything to do with me changing.

Jesus told people truth, He never forced them to like Him, accept Him or choose Him. Neither will I. I will love you, but ask yourself what is the definition of love to you? Loving isn’t being taken advantage of and just because one follows Jesus doesn’t mean they have to be perfect to meet your standards of being a Christ follower. So, before you go thinking you can judge a person make sure you know the Word of God to make sure it aligns.

People do change.

I love you and so does Jesus.
