Travis Smetzer

It was the beginning of 2020 and I was living in an apartment in Lisbon Ohio. I felt like I was at the end, and I was contemplating suicide. I fell asleep and had a dream in which a great ball of light appeared to me. It was so bright, and I had such a peaceful feeling as I looked at it. God began to speak to me in a deep voice and as He did I felt ashamed to be in His presence and I could not even look at Him. He told me that I needed to give me life back to Him and that I needed to tell as many people about Him as I could. He said that there was a sickness coming and that there was going to be a war that would be unlike anything that the world had ever seen before.

When I woke up it was like I became aware of the truth of God and what was truly going on in the world and in my life. I began to cry more deeply than I had ever cried before. I got down on my hands and my knees and began to pray. I asked the Lord to come back into my heart and to forgive me for everything I had done that was against Him and I told Him that I was going to start to live my life for Him. When I said amen it was like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders and for the first time I felt as though I was in total peace with God. I asked my friend Eli about being baptized and he told me about a baptize service that was about to take place in Salem. On July 31st, 2020 Eli and Pastor Chris Brock baptized me and today I am a son of the living God. Accept Jesus as my savoir is the best decision that I have ever made and my life has never been the same as it was.
