Tom's Life - His Testimony
My name is Tom Carnahan. I was raised in a Christian home with two older brothers. My parents both taught Sunday School, Dad was an Elder, and Mom was very active in the music program at the church. I grew up hearing my mom singing excerpts from different operas as well as hymns while going about her daily work in our home. This was part of what led me to Organ and Piano lessons from a very young age. By eleven years old, I was playing the organ for the evening services at our church and it was after one of those services that I knew I wanted to be baptized. During High School, I lived a very sheltered, conservative life. However, in some ways I was forced to grow up quickly after my Mom was diagnosed with Cancer. She fought hard for four years, most of which were spent in the hospital. Lots of trips back and forth to the hospital in Canton, Mount Union College in Alliance, and home to Minerva. After Mom passed, I transferred to Kent State to finish my education and graduated with a BBA in Accounting and Finance.

My wife Pam and I got married in 1979 and just celebrated our 45th Anniversary (2024) We were blessed with two daughters: Abby who with her husband Sam have blessed us with two granddaughters, and Sarah who along with husband Jim have given us a grandson and a granddaughter.

I attained my CPA and for over forty years Pam and I owned and operated Ohio Valley Accounting and Tax in Minerva. We recently completed the sale of this business and are trying to figure out what path God has for us now.
Over the course of my adult life, the Lord has allowed me to enjoy ministry in keyboard and vocal music, teaching, leading both large and small Men's Groups, serving on administrative boards, and I had the privilege of serving our church as an Associate Pastor. Having taken many courses in counseling I love to talk with people and with God's help, give them help through difficult times.
A couple years ago, God allowed our paths to intersect with Chris and Coria Brock and I am thrilled to see Life With Christ ministry grow and share Christ in many ways. It is an honor to serve on the board of directors and look forward to what the Lord has in store for the future.
