Meaningful Verse
2 Timothy 4:7-8 New International Version (NIV)
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Mandy's Life - His Testimony
Hey! I'm Mandy!

I was raised in a loving Christian home where my parents taught me to love and serve God. My mom and Grammie had the most significant impact on my relationship with Jesus, and I am so grateful for them.
I asked Jesus into my heart at a very young age, and around 10-12 years old, I knew God wanted me in the mission field. I thought that meant serving overseas and staying single because I believed I would never get married. Well, God had other plans! At about 15 or 16, I met my soon-to-be husband. This girl, who thought she'd never marry, got married at 17. I had attended public school and homeschooled my junior and senior years so we could get married. It was God-ordained because my parents had to sign papers, and for my daddy to sign them for his little girl to marry at 17, you know that was a miracle from God.
Ben and I were friends who became best friends, then grew to love each other, knowing God had a plan for our lives. We had some stipulations though: no city life and no working with kids. You'd think I would have learned not to tell God "never," but nope!
After Ben finished school at Valley Forge Christian College, we moved to Philadelphia—yep, the inner city. We helped Rodney and Judy Tilley by teaching English as a second language to immigrants, assisting with starting an Albanian coffee shop, and an Albanian Protestant Church. Rodney and Judy were amazing mentors and helped me learn to listen to God and follow Him more deeply than ever before.
When we felt the calling from God to move on from Philly, we weren't sure what to do or where to go, but He always steered us in His direction. We thought we might be moving to Kenya, but that door closed, and another opened... to New Mexico Girls Ranch, to work with kids—the other stipulation we had put on God. He sure loves to keep us on our toes.
We lived and worked at the Girls Ranch for 7 years. God and the girls taught us so much about life and ourselves. We became parents while at the Girls Ranch... oh yes, another "never." We didn't want to have kids, but God said, "Yes, you do!" He was definitely right about that and all the other things we had said "never" to.
Our boys mean the world to us, and we love them more than we ever thought possible. For me, the greatest joy God has given me is to serve Him alongside my husband and boys. It has been a dream to do missions together as a family, and God has granted that desire.
It has been an absolute honor to become a part of Life with Christ Ministries. We love and respect Chris and Coria and their desire to spread the love of Jesus wherever God calls them to go and serve.
I'm not the best at expressing my feelings or explaining things, but I hope and pray that you see how God has worked through my life and how He continues to guide me and my family.
My utmost desire is that when I am gone to my log cabin in Heaven, people won't think of me, but of Jesus, and that it will stir something in them to follow Him.
