Psalm 107:1-2, New Living Translation
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the LORD redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.”
As we approach Thanksgiving, let us harvest and attitude of Thanksgiving. Psalm 107:1-2, NLT says, “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. Has the LORD redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.”
Jesus' love for us is faithful and true. Jesus’ love will endure forever. He has rescued us all from the near enemy! We all at one time were living a life filled with sin, because we thought our way was better. But He didn’t leave us there! The beauty of our past is that He turns everything around for our good because we love Him and our call according to His purposes if we accept Jesus as our Savior. This scripture can be found in Romans 8:28.
God does not waste anything! He takes away shame, He brings healing into our lives and blesses us each with a unique ministry! That is something to be thankful for! There is not another person out there like you that has experienced what you have in the same exact way. You have a ministry, with God, that reaches an individual to whom perhaps your friend or neighbor is not able to minister to by telling others He has redeemed you from your enemies.
Our testimony is a powerful thing! And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony...” (Revelation 12:11, NLT) We defeat our enemy with our testimony! Not only is our testimony powerful to minister to others who are where we have been, but it also testifies of the grace and mercy of God in our lives. It shows His great love for us. “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Romans 5:8, NLT) Thank you, Lord for our testimony and for your mercy… For your love that bankrupted heaven for us! This beautiful gift that has given us was not meant to be hidden away. Jesus commands us, “What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!” (Matthew 10:27, NLT)
We are all called to share this good news of Jesus Christ and His salvation! With thankful hearts, let us share; with family, with friends, with strangers, passing by, what Christ has done for us and what He can do for them. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14, NLT)
