"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Galatians 6:9 is one of the most powerful and well-known verses about perseverance. It reminds believers to keep pushing forward through challenges.

There is the promise of reaping the benefit of what you sow and not giving up in difficult times. The law of sowing and reaping is an inevitable law; it cannot be altered—whatever you plant, you will eventually reap. A farmer doesn't plant a seed and immediately have a crop....it takes time. That may seem like a bad word, but we have to know and believe that in time God will move in our circumstances. 

When you are tempted to quit, remember this: All your effort, all your prayers, all your years of faithful service—down the drain. The winners of the race aren’t the good starters, or the fast sprinters, but those who cross the line. The line is in sight. 

Jesus did not quit, and His perseverance is the ultimate example of pushing through. Even when facing extreme adversity, He stayed the course. When you feel like giving up, consider this from the example of Jesus: He had purpose— Jesus focused on the mission ahead, which gave Him the strength to endure the hardest moments. He had resilience: Instead of choosing the easy way out, He pressed forward to finish what He started.

We need faithfulness, just like Jesus. Staying on the course leads to victories and breakthroughs that you might miss if you stop too early.
