Matthew 6:24, New International Version

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Pay attention to what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (NLT), “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?” This message may have referred to the relationship between a husband and wife, however, it is also a clear statement to enhance a truth – no one can serve two masters.

When you recognize light and darkness cannot co-exist, you will also see that good and evil have nothing in common. Truth cannot become lies; and lies cannot become truth. As a result, we should come to this conclusion: God and the devil are completely incompatible!

Yahweh is the name of the One true God, and His name has been interpreted in many ways, including "I Am", "He that is", "He who makes that which has been made,” and "He brings the hosts into existence". God is three distinct individuals (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) who are one being, from then to now, and He desires unity even for mankind. He sent His Son, Jesus, for this very purpose – to bring redemption to all mankind. He is the God of redemption, restoration, and renewal.

Satan is the name of the devil, which means “adversary.” An angle created by God the Creator, also a fallen angel who rebelled against God. He is an enemy to God, as well as all mankind. Because of this very reason, his work is to bring division between God and man. He desires to kill, to steal, and to destroy and that includes everything in God’s creation, and everyone God loves.

God is the Light, and the devil is the darkness. God is good, and the devil is evil. God is righteous, and the devil is wicked. God is love, and the devil is hatred. God is the Truth, and the devil is the father of all lies. God gives an everlasting life to all mankind who believe and follow Him, therefore, for all those who reject His Son, the Way of everlasting life, will be separated from Him forever. Listen, what does this mean: it means they will be separated from all things that bring light and love, and instead be isolated in the darkness in agony without ending.

Can anyone honestly say that this is what they truly want, to be isolated in the darkness in agony without ending? Or should we be like those who heard the message from Peter and were cut to the heart asking, "what should I do now"? (Acts 2:37)

Do not be stubborn or rebellious and follow the Devil on the broad road. The gate is wide and leads to destruction. Instead, move forward with Jesus, to the small gate and narrow road that leads to life. (Matthew 7:13-14) This is your own choice, and no one can make it for you, nor can the devil stop you. The power of God is incomparable, and if God is for you, who can be against you? (Romans 8:31) Choose wisely and serve the true Master!
