Acts 4:12, Amplified Bible
“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].”
Do you remember when the Pharisees made their judgment about the work of Jesus — the work of God Himself? They said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.” (Matthew 12:24, NIV). How did Jesus respond to them? He said, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.” And that is still what He would say to every form of division today — especially to division within His Kingdom. This includes those who argue about how someone can be saved through doctrines shaped by man-made interpretations, religious systems, and even self-righteousness.
Truth is truth. God warned us clearly: “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18–19, NKJV).
So, I am not here to argue my point of view on salvation. Instead, I plead with you to sincerely seek the heart of God — His richness and His unexplainable love for mankind. “The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9, BSB).
From lost to found; from someone who knows not what they are doing to someone who accepts Jesus and is saved; from a mind blinded by the enemy to a heart learning His commands and obeying; from walking in darkness to stepping into the light; from dying to being reborn… this is a process. And who, except the Lord Himself, knows the progress or condition of each person’s heart? Who could possibly make a statement about who is too far gone or who must be saved? Did the Lord not warn us that there are goats in sheep’s clothing, and that one day He will say to them, “I never knew you. Away from Me, you evildoers!” (Matthew 7:23)?
No one should dare place a stumbling block in front of hope — the hope that comes from the Lord Jesus. He has all authority in heaven and on earth. He alone is powerful enough to save. He is the only Way to the Father, the only Salvation. He alone is Savior, and He alone has the right to say who can be saved. He alone knows the heart and searches the mind.
It is time for His people to stop counting how many souls they “saved” (for no one but Jesus can save), or how many people they led in a salvation prayer. Instead, as Jesus did, keep reaching out to those who have not yet known the love He demonstrated on the cross. And love others as you love Jesus. (Matthew 25:31–46)
