Psalm 18:13-14, New International Version

“The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded. He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.”

By the grace of God, under His guidance and with His inspiration, the ALL IN for Christ Bible study series has been written. It is being used for teaching, correcting, and even to bring healing and freedom for many who may be in bondage by long time religious traditions or misinterpretations of the word of God.

As I have taught the classes, I have continued to recognize the chains and strongholds from past wounds of many who have not yet been set free. This has been true of both new believers and longtime Christians. The fear of death, the worries of the day, and the intimidation from the enemy is still actively manipulating their life and controlling how they think. While this grieves me it also fills me with anger and I desire to pull my sword and run to the front line and shout, “… Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God… Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him… You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” (1 Samuel 17:26, 32, 45-47, NIV)

Does the name of Jesus not have all authority? Is the Spirit of God powerless? (Matthew 28:18, Ephesians 3:16-20) Has the Lord taken away the authority that He assigned to His disciples? If He has not done this, why are His followers like the army of king Saul and fearful for their lives?

It is time for each and every believer to walk the talk, to be strong and courageous, to stand firm, and to pick up your sword to be a true follower of Christ – His disciples, the light and the salt! (Ephesians 6:10-18, Matthew 5:13-16) When we have the truth, the truth will set us free! (John 8:32)

This is the truth:

The power of the enemy is limited and temporary, and its only granted by God, who is all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present. His power is unbreakable, unlimited, and never ending. (Psalm 139)

The power of the enemy is filled with hate and darkness and leads to death. The power of God is giving through love and light and leads to life. (John 10:10)

My dear sisters, no matter how frightening the circumstances you face may be, stop listening to the enemy. He is the liar and the father of all lies. (John 8:44) Instead, listen to God who never lies, but every word He says He deliver faithfully. (Hebrews 6:18, Luke 1:37, Psalm 145:13) Therefore, choose wisely and live according to His authority and His power!
