1 Chronicles 28:21, New International Version
“The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the work on the temple of God, and every willing person skilled in any craft will help you in all the work. The officials and all the people will obey your every command.”
Many Christians have heard that God has a plan and a purpose for their lives, and that is absolutely true. God has a plan and a calling for every person. Sometimes it may seem like that plan is really big. In fact, it may even seem impossible. There have been many times when I know that the Lord has called me to do something and yet, I also knew that there was no way that I alone could do what was necessary. But knows exactly what we need right when we need it, and He is ready and able to provide it. I want to share two short testimonies with you about how God provides what we need when we trust in Him.
Recently my youngest son and I have been working on a project to restore the deck on the back of the house. The wood had come to a place where it needed to be replaced and rebuilt and we started the process of removing the old material. We had two normal hammers and a small pry bar. After about a half a day of working, we had a good portion of the deck torn down, but it was proving to be hard work. The next weekend was coming, and I knew that we needed to work again and I was already dreading having to do it. Suddenly there was a knock at the door and when I opened it, I was happy to see two dear friends of mine who do construction work together. In their hands they were holding large tools that were specifically designed for demolition work. They said, “We are here to tear the rest of your deck apart because we want to bless you.” In thirty minutes, all of the remaining deck material had been demolished. Now, instead of dreading another day of hard work, I can start the process of rebuilding. God knows what we need right when we need it!
At the end of this week, my wife is hosting a women’s seminar. There are going to be over a hundred ladies at the seminar. I will be a part of the worship team. The worship team had a rehearsal a few days ago. On the morning that the rehearsal was to take place, we got a message that the person who was going to be playing the keyboard did not have access to the keyboard she thought she could use. We immediately trusted the Lord and He placed someone in our minds to contact. We reached out to him and without hesitation he said we could borrow his keyboard, which is a very nice one! Within a few minutes of finding out there was a need God provided a way!
If you are reading this today and you are facing a situation that may seem impossible, then I believe that the Lord wants you to know that He is aware of the situation. He sees every detail and He also knows how you feel. He has a plan to help you. He is working on that plan right now and when His timing comes, He will reveal it to you. Do not grow weary and do not be discouraged by what you see with your eyes, but instead place your faith, your trust, and your hope in Him who can do more than we can ask or think.
