Hebrew 11:6, New International Version

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Leap of Faith

This picture was taken last Sunday when I was in Indonesia. On that last service we sang a song that spoke deeply to my heart, it made me shed a tear or two.

“Here I am Lord, it is I Lord, I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold your people in my heart.”

I have no idea what following and obeying God was going to be like, I was going to go halfway around the world and the only reason was because God told me to.

Many might have been confused as to why I am doing this, it seemed illogical and maybe even foolish in every way. There were times when I felt a lot of fear of the unknown and doubts about this, but despite that I took that huge leap of faith.

It has been six months since that decision, and it is the best decision I have ever made. The amount of heavenly treasures that God has given me in this journey is priceless. No amount of money, tasty desserts, (which I seriously love!) or any worldly pleasure can be exchanged with this.

God used this journey to grow my faith and trust in Him. To teach me what it means to have an intimate relationship with Him. What it really means to believe and follow Jesus Christ.

The amazing people that he blessed me with, it truly feels like I have another family! Each and every one of them is a tremendous blessing, and through them I feel and see the love of Jesus.

And He always, always, always provides me with everything that I need, when I need it, even when it feels impossible or overwhelming. It was truly miracle after miracle.

I have learned that when God calls us to do something, it might be very illogical and even foolish in the eyes of the world. It may feel scary or overwhelming or even impossible. It might not even suit our feelings. But when we walk in obedience, trust, and faith, we will be amazed at what God can do.

He truly is an amazing God! His plans are higher than our plans, His ways are higher than our ways!
