Adjective: worth a great deal of money and extremely useful or important.

Noun: a thing that is of great worth, especially a small item of personal property.

I was watching TV when a wedding band commercial came on that was saying how "the never-ending symbol of love is a diamond ring". And in another commercial they talk about how fake diamonds can make a woman "feel like she's powerful or on top of the world" and ending with the statement, "Diamonds for everyone!” My heart broke instantly, and I said to myself, "This is how people feel when they have an intimate relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit– not diamonds.”

I didn't know why these commercials were bothering me so much and kept asking Jesus where He wanted me to go with this diamond business. See, I really wanted to speak about the importance of having a relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit... but then I was led to listen to Lauren Daigle's self-titled CD. (Funny side note: I don't listen to Lauren Daigle unless it's on the radio. She was also at the Alive Festival this year and I missed her performance. There are a lot of songs that spoke to me on this CD. However, one particular song called "Valuable" spoke to me the most. That's when the Holy Spirit revealed what I was to say.)

Jesus is a diamond. However, He's not just any diamond, He's a red diamond. Do you know that a red diamond is one of the rarest, most expensive diamonds in the world? They are known for their rich crimson color, “Jesus’ blood”. The "cleavage" is the property of a mineral that allows it to break smoothly when struck sharply with a hammer - His death on the Cross. A Red Diamonds cleavage is 111, making it perfect in all directions - His resurrection.

Do you know How God feels about us? He thinks we are just as valuable. We are extremely useful and important. A great worth to this world! Jesus’ death and resurrection gives us all the chance to change from a diamond, into a rare red diamond covered by the blood and grace of God. He is crazy about us. He loves us with every ounce of His being. He longs for a relationship with us. To care for us. To love us. Jesus is always there, always waiting to show us just how valuable we truly are.
