John 14:6, New Living Translation

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

When you aren’t sure where to go, go to Jesus. He tells us, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, NLT) Jesus also said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12, NLT)

In life’s difficulties, when it seems like things are looking dim, look to Jesus. Let Him shine His truth upon your situation. Let Him bring peace to your heart.

Maybe you feel alone, like you don’t belong anywhere. Maybe you don’t feel loved or important. Don’t let the enemy snuff out your light! Remember what God says about you and remind the devil what God says!

“Even before he made the world, God lived us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do and it gave him great pleasure.” (Ephesians 1:4-5, NLT)

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10, NLT)

I need to hear this, just as much as anyone. The devil will come to steal our joy. And take it he will if we let him! We are God’s children! “So, you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, ‘Abba, Father.’” (Romans 8:15, NLT). Because we belong to Him, because we are His children, we have good things to do that He planned for us long ago because He loves us! He chose us! I believe we need to hold onto these truths and let them be the light that guides us through the dark times! The enemy wants you to linger in your difficulties, in your sadness, in your anger. If we linger in these things, we let the enemy win. But if we turn to God, He wins! “So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7, NLT)

I confess that my heart has been heavy with sadness. I intentionally turn to God and repent for agreeing with the enemy! I renounce the lies of the enemy and I agree with God’s words, that I am loved, chosen, accepted, and that He has good things for me to do. I am in the family of God, and I am not alone! Thank you, Jesus!

I ask that you pray for me. Not out of selfishness, but because we all need prayer. The enemy will come to attack each of us. But know this, that I am praying for you too!

Heavenly Father, I Lift up my brothers and sisters who may be reading this right now. Maybe they are feeling discouraged. Maybe the enemy is trying to get them to believe a lie as truth. Lord, I ask that You expose the lies of the enemy! Let Your truth be the light that leads them to life. May they be drawn by Your love and continue to walk in freedom. I plead the blood of Jesus over each one and ask that You would keep them safe in Your care. I thank You Lord, because those who put their trust in You are never put to shame. Bless my brothers and sisters in Jesus’ name. Amen!
