John 14:27, New Living Translation

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. (John 14:27, NLT) There is turbulence that is being felt worldwide. Evil no longer hides. It walks among us calling good evil and claiming evil to be good. If we are going to make it through these turbulent times, we need to be as close to Jesus as we possibly can. “You will keep him in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (Isaiah 26:3, NLT)

A phrase comes to my mind, “No God, no hope. Know God, know hope.” It’s so important, especially now as the end draws near, that we know God and that we knew where we are spending eternity! We are not promised tomorrow, not even our next breath. If you don’t know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, I urge you to seek Him and find Him. The only way to the Father is through His Son, Jesus Christ. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, NLT)

I am not asking anyone to pursue religion, but relationships. Jesus died for our sins. We were bought with His precious blood so that we could be reconciled to our Father. When you know Christ, there is a supernatural strength and peace and hope that you gain from being in relationship with Him.

His death has freed us from the binge of sin that leads to death. If we choose the bondage of sin that leads to death, know that there is a second death that is far worse than the first. It ends in a lake of fire and eternal torment. If we choose life with Christ, then we choose eternal life under the blessings of God where there is no death, no sickness, no torment. We are welcome to the joys of the Lord. “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9, NLT)

I share this, not from a place of condemnation, but concern. Satan has blinded the eyes of many and hardened the hearts of many. I want to see as many brothers and sisters in heaven as possible! I want as many brothers and sisters to know His love and be able to experience the joy and freedom His life brings! This requires sacrifice on our part. When we come to Christ, we cannot willingly and knowingly continue to live in sin. Sun leads to death. “Dear friend, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgement and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.” (Hebrews 10:26-27, NLT)

I urge you, if you are not right with God, to turn from your sins and repent! Don’t let fear or guilt or shame keep you from seeing Him! That’s what the dirty devil wants you to do! God is a just God and He is a loving God! He purchased you with the blood of Christ because you were and are worth it! His plan includes you because He loves you and wants you! He wouldn’t want it any other way! He will not push Himself on you, but will, like a gentleman, wait for you to choose Him.
