Matthew 10:29-31, New International Version

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Throughout the Bible, over and over God instructs us about how there is no fear or weary for those who trust in God, those who obey and follow His command. Simply because He is God almighty, He created all things, He sustains all things, and He knows all things. He is all power and yet He loves us! (Genesis 17:1, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16-17, Psalm 55:22, John 3:16)

O how many times have you heard that God loves you and He care about you? Why are you still afraid and worried about your life, about what you will eat and what you will wear? (Matthew 6:25-27) Why do you have no faith in the One who literally died for you, even when you did not know Him but was against Him? (Romans 5:8) Why do you lift up the power of the enemy by belittling the power of God? (1 John 4:4) Why do you have your eyes fixed on the circumstances instead of the One who already overcame the world? (John 16:33) Do you know Him, do you truly know what you believe? “… O you of little faith…” (Matthew 8:26)

Yes, we will have trouble in this world (John 16:33), we may face persecution by believing and living according to the godly way of Jesus (2 Timothy 3:12), and we may be hated by those who do not know the truth (John 15:18). But don’t we know that He, Jesus, went through them all and yet, He is with us and does not forsake us! (Hebrews 4:14-16, Hebrews 13:5) He promised that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13).

Worthy is our Lamb, yet we are also valued in His eyes! Let’s hear what He said, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31, NIV)

Sparrows do not sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and they only cost a penny (equal 15-17 US cents today), yet our Father who is sitting on the throne cares for them. And His Son who is sitting at the right hand of God told us that we are worth more than sparrows!

Do you still disbelieve or have little faith in His Word? Remember, He has not said you are more valuable in the eyes of the world because of Him. He said we are more valuable than a sparrow in His eyes, and that we are not created for nothing or that we do not have a purpose! His thoughts are on His people all the time, not to harm them but to give them hope and a future! (Jeremiah 29:11) If He, an almighty God, is willing to care enough to feed the sparrow, how much more will He care for you?! (1 Peter 5:7) Have faith in Him!
