Ephesians 5:25, New International Version
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…”
How deep is the love of Christ for His bride (His people)? He has intensive love for her! He died and He gave Himself up for her!
He is the Bridegroom who gave up His rights, and in all ways made Himself nothing so that He could win her love. He rescues her from the darkness and lifts her up to stand on the solid ground. He has become the cornerstone of her life. He bled so she could be saved from the wages of sin and death. He was crushed and wounded so His bride could be healed from her wounds. He offers peace and forgiveness so that she could have peace that the world cannot give. (Philippians 2:7-9, Acts 4:11, John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 53:5, John 14:27, Daniel 9:9, Matthew 5:9)
The love that Jesus, the Bridegroom, has for His bride is intense! Sacrificial, unfailing, unconditional, passionate, and compassionate love! He is ALL IN for her! She may find faults in her past or present, she may carry a great debt, she may still be enslaved by other masters. She may dwell in her own self-pity and be blinded to see; she may still be tempted to work with the enemy without knowing it. She may devalue the body that He paid the price for, and she may still ignore or even reject His love… yet nothing can separate His love from her. Never!
Do you know and can you find the same love that Jesus has for you, my friends? You may say, “I am not your friend.” You know what, it doesn’t matter! Jesus loved you even before you knew Him, He desires that you will accept His love soon and receive the hope, the joy, and the fullness of life.
There is an old saying, “Do not give up the forest for a tree.” I would want you to hear carefully and sincerely, “Do not let go Jesus for the world.” The world is not worthy of your love, nor does it care how valuable you are. It comes just as it’s master to kill, steal, and destroy. He, the prince of the world, does not love you! (John 10:10, John 14:30) You cannot earn or gain any goodness or reward from it, because there is nothing that can be found in it! What lays ahead of you is death and eternal torment and separation from the One who loves you.
My friends, will you accept the proposal from Jesus, the One who promised to love you with His life forever? Please no longer reject the Light who can shine into the darkness. Do not resist the Truth that can set you free from being a slave to the devil. There are chains and fire and darkness prepared for him, the accuser and liar, for all eternity. You do not want to be where he will be. Your Bridegroom is waiting to take your hand and commit Himself to you, be in love with you, and honor you forever.
